A group of churches in Huntsville and Madison County will hold their annual “Operation Hungry: Picnic in the Park” on Saturday at Brahan Spring Park from 11 a.m. till 3 p.m. under pavilion four.
Aimed toward feeding the hungry, the picnic is expected to draw over 500 people, said Executive Director Lineise Arnold of the North Alabama Coalition for the Homeless.
“Meals will include chicken, baked beans and a variety of things. “Some of the food was donated by various organizations throughout Madison County, including the North Alabama Food Bank, and some was donated and will be prepared by participating churches.”
